2012 Finalists & Subcategory Winners Announced!
Thank you, photography community, for making the Tenth Annual International Photography Awards competition such a huge success! We received over 10,000 entries from over 100 countries around the world. Such an international display of photographic excellence!  The finalists and subcategory winners have been determined, by an international jury panel, comprised of over 80 photo professionals – our largest yet! The overall winners will be announced, live, at Tenth Annual Lucie Awards (October 8, Los Angeles)!  The finalists are listed below, and all subcategory winners and honorable mentions can be viewed in the Gallery.  INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR ($10,000 presented by atEdge): Ayano Hisa (Architecture), Nadav Kander (Advertising), Alinka Echeverria (Editorial), Julia Fullerton-Batten (Fine Art), Marsel van Oosten (Nature), Wayne Lawrence (People), Martin Stavars (Special) and Rinko Kawauchi (Book).  DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR ($5,000): John Eaton (Architecture), Eric Chang (Advertising), Adelin Petrisor (Editorial), Lionel Orriols (Fine Art), Craig Bill (Nature), Viktoria Sorochinski (People), Athanasios Maloukos (Special) and Pierre Pellegrini (Book).  DEEPER PERSPECTIVE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR ($5,000 presented by American Society of Media Photographers): Régis Defurnaux, Gloriann Liu, Jordi Ruiz Cirera, Fernando Moleres, Dennis Manarchy and Alejandro Cartagena.  NEW!
