In the new digital environment, a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) ensures that sensitive electronic communications are private and protected from tampering. Not all pages are available in EN. The brochures, statutes etc. provide some useful terminology. If you have a pdf file open, to switch languages change the language designations in the URL (directory & file name): de/it/fr or d/i/f etc.

Instructions for use & technical manuals

1. Select a country.
2. On that country's website, select Product Support/Owner's Manuals (in local language; usually second button at top left).
3. Find a manual: you don't have to specify a model, leave the field blank. Hit Search.
4. Open a second browser window and go back to original url
5. Select another country and search in the same way (On some websites, several languages are available - e.g. NL EN DE on German website, ES PT EN on Spanish and Brazilian websites - and many of the models are then available in all of the languages present).
6. With the two windows open, run through the two lists of products and look for a model present on both pages. Download or view the two and use them as parallel texts.

Insurance

Once you have found a page that you are interested in (using the search facility), unfortunately it's not all that easy. What you need to do is first identify where you are on the site. After that, open a new browser window (CTRL-N or File/New Window), go to the home page and select a country speaking your target language and browse to the same location on that website.
You will notice that the names of the pages (the words in the address bar) are in all sorts of languages, so you can't just change the language codes).

BUT:
On some local websites there is more than one language to choose from. For example for Switzerland you have German, English and French. In that case things can be simpler - providing a common language is used for directory and file names - but you will need to know the language codes used (e.g. "ge" not "de" for German).

Hundreds of parallel texts (package inserts) in DE and FR. Searching by keywords (illness, body part, chemical component) will show you the full text of all medicaments related to that keyword. By simply changing the "f" to "d" or vice versa in the address bar, you can switch between the French and German text. The translations of these package inserts are known to be of high quality because they must be approved by a regulatory office. It is therefore a valuable text corpus.

Click on a website that has articles in your source language. Use the site's search engine to find articles containing your keyword. Once you have found an article containing your keyword, the best way to locate the translation in your target language is to search the target language website using very specific words such as, for example, names of persons (author of article, politicians etc.), which remain the same. Adding the date in your search criteria is also useful (make sure to follow the correct format, e.g. "october 2001" for English website).

It is not a website with parallel texts in the strictest sense, although you can find some useful SW application terminology by comparing style guides in different languages.

The id. no. of the page in the other language unfortunately does not remain the same, so you can't just change the language codes in the URL.
