Websites with Parallel Texts vs Parallel Text Search Interfaces: Pros & Cons
Using known websites containing parallel texts by going directly to their URLs (e.g. www.admin.ch)
pro: Your search will include any pages that are not indexed by (therefore inaccessible to) general-purpose search engines (Google etc.).
con: You may not find your term immediatley and may need to search various websites before you eventually do find it.
Using the parallel text search interfaces and specifying your keyword/phrase
pro: The page that you find will contain your term (you will need to check the page to find out whether the same page is available in your target language: sometimes it can take a while to sift through the results).
con: Your search is limited to those pages that are indexed by Google etc.
