143-Gnosca: GRB

The knowledge about GRB (Gamma Ray Burst) is growing. Every observation of their behaviour is very important. I try to detect optical counterparts of GRBs announced by the satellites HETE, SWIFT and INTEGRAL. I collabore with the High Energy Network of AAVSO (American Association of Variable Star Observers). From 2002 11optical counterparts were detected from Gnosca.

Optical Counterparts of GAMMA RAY BURST

  • GRB021004 (with optical counterpart detection). Redshift: z=2.335. Here one can see an  animation. The swiss magazine ORION published this article (in french).
  • GRB030823 (no optical counterpart detection).
  • GRB041211 (no optical counterpart detection).
  • GRB050319 (with optical counterpart detection). Redshift: z=3.24. In the magazine ORION was published this note (in french).
